Terms of service
Last updated: November 2026
These terms govern your use of Tender Carbon ("the Service"), operated from the United Kingdom. By using the Service or purchasing an export, you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service is
Tender Carbon is a guided document-preparation tool. It helps you organise your own business data into the structure of a Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) aligned to the UK Government's PPN 006 template, and applies published DESNZ greenhouse gas conversion factors to figures you enter.
2. Not professional advice
The Service provides general guidance and document preparation only. It is not legal, environmental, accounting or tender consultancy advice, and using it does not create any professional-client relationship. Contracting authorities assess CRPs against their own requirements — you remain solely responsible for checking your tender documents and for the accuracy and completeness of everything you submit. We do not guarantee that any buyer will accept a document produced with the Service.
3. Your data and your responsibilities
Your draft is stored in your browser's local storage, not on our servers. You are responsible for the accuracy of the figures you enter and for keeping your own copy of the finished document. Clearing your browser storage will erase your draft — please export or record your data before doing so.
4. Price and payment
Use of the wizard and preview is free. Exporting your finished plan costs a one-off fee of £199 including VAT where applicable, payable by card through our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
5. Digital content — your right to cancel
The exported document is digital content. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you would normally have 14 days to cancel a distance purchase.
By choosing to download your document immediately after payment, you expressly consent to immediate supply of the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once the download has begun.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. If the digital content is defective — for example, the file will not open or does not contain your plan — you remain entitled to a repair or replacement under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
6. Refunds
If you have paid but have not yet downloaded your document, you may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. Once downloaded, refunds are offered at our discretion — for example where a technical fault on our side prevented you receiving a usable document. Contact us with your purchase details and we will sort it out.
7. Intellectual property
You own the content of the document you create using your own data. We retain all rights in the Service itself — the software, branding and templates. Your purchase grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use, edit, publish and submit your exported plan for your own business purposes, including publication on your website as required by PPN 006.
8. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service: no attempting to bypass payment or security controls, no automated scraping, no reselling access to the tool, and no use that is unlawful or infringes anyone else's rights.
9. Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for loss of profits, loss of tenders or contracts, and indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force when you purchase applies to that purchase. Questions about these terms or refund requests: contact us via the details published on this site.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
